3x med bills is kinda standard. Talk to Candy about it. She should know a thing or 2. These types of accidents are why I carry 50/100/50 on my ins. The min. is 25/50/25. That wont go very far.

That was a true blessing. Glad you're around to even post this message. I hope the driver gets everything coming to him in the form of hard punishment. Get yourself a good lawyer dude.

Glad to hear that you are okay and hope you heal nicely.

Since the driver of the truck didnt own the vehicle,Does that affect his insurance/him?

How does one go about getting money from the guilty if they dont have insurance?

Mouse,

If you have some insurance related questions send me a PM. I can answer several of the questions people asked on the thread etc. Been in the auto/motorcycle insurance claims business for near ten years.
---
Insurance follows vehicle then driver. If the vehicle has ins, and him it will be a better option than just one. Also your Um/UIM overage will help you out big time in the event neither has coverage.

In this case if he was driving this unowned vehicle and had permissive use to it the vehicle owners' insurance will be primary. I had a drunk hit me in my car and he didn't have ins, but the car did, so my claim was paid. Also if he was drunk, that can impact the settlement value in your favor.

You're very lucky! I new of a recent accident on FM 762 in Richmond where the rider wasn't so lucky. He was hit by a huge 4X4 and didn't make it.
