LA MARQUE ó A La Marque man is recovering after he was struck while riding his motorcycle Sunday night by a hit-and-run driver in a pickup.

Police said when they caught up with the accused hit-and-run driver, the injured manís motorcycle was wedged under the truck.

The accident happened in the 1000 block of FM 519 at about 8:30 p.m. Police said Brandon Wallace, 35, of La Marque, was headed eastbound on his Suzuki motorcycle when he was hit from behind by a 2000 Ford truck.

When police found the missing truck about three blocks away from the accident scene, Wallaceís motorcycle was wedged underneath the front end, La Marque police spokeswoman Danielle Herman said.

Police arrested Victor Rodriguez, 26, also of La Marque, who was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop and render aid.

Rodriguez was booked into the Galveston County Jail on bonds totaling $12,500.

Wallace was taken by ground ambulance to John Sealy Hospital at the University of Texas Medical Branch for treatment of a broken leg, police said.

gimmie a break, if he had no coverage, the insurance will pay medically what mightymouse had coverage for, then everything else and all the riches you speak of will have to come with a civil suit, and if the guy has nothing , you get nothing but a judgement. a lot of good a judgment does when the guy has nothing.
speaking from experiance.

Be glad your alive to talk about it. Blessed indeed you are.
