+1000!! get a scotts or a gpr, and another thing u could look into is replacing the front calipers. idk if they are the same that my zx-10 had stock, but if they are, they are garbage. i have zx-14 calipers now

btw that temp gauge looks a bit high even for it standing still.. my fan turns on on 220 and i will never see anything more the 225 sitting still for 10min . mybe zx6-r's are diffrent??

id do a coolent flush ...

steering dampner is on the list of mods along with exhaust and some other upgrades

coolant is still good the temp was high from riding from i-10 back to the woodlands

Why a steering dampener? Just curious. That's 500 of something he'll prolly not need for a while. My last 2 bikes didnt have dampeners and those were on the track. There's other things like good tires, brake pads that will make so much more of a difference.

those years/body style 636 is prone to head shake for some reason. i read alot of reviews about bikes before finally picking one up and one of the big concern people had with that body style 636 was head shake( tank slap)
