Well let's see...
In my 1 bedroom my electric bill was about 50-75 bucks but I usually kept it pretty warm in there (ac didn't run too much)

In my 2 bed/2 bath with my roomies...It has been as low as 90 bucks (maybe october/november) and has gotten up to 150 (last month)--my roomates like to freeze me out, unfortunately.

If you turn the thermostat up during the day--you will use less ac...keep it at or above 72 and you should be ok--and hovering just below 80 during the day when you aren't home.
My roomates frequently turn it to 64-68 at night (I HATE that).

My apartment is bigger than 900sq ft
Oh...and my apartment is downstairs...that makes a HUGE difference!!
Especially in the summer, you will need to run the AC way more in an upstairs apartment, so ...higher bill.
Apartment assistant manager discouraged me from getting an upstairs since I was on a budget--he sometimes had bills upwards of 200 bucks

My apartment pays water...but at some friend's their water bill was like 30 bucks a month submetered and paid per building.

Do you already live in an apartment? I love my apartment complex and am only moving out cuz I'm attending graduate school in another city. If you want to live near the Galleria, let me know--it's safe, nice and cheap.

for 780 a month, I can get you a new home with 3 beds and a garage + ownership. And you don't need perfect credit. . . .

my eles bill is around 125 during the peak months....everything is electric including washer dryer. I pay 428/month for a 1 br/ba in the copperfield area. not the newest apts., but definitely not the ghetto. don;t think this will help though b/c this is in the Cy-Fair district...not HCC.
