Failure to use a vehicle that gets under 35 mpg?

I've ridden more than 18,000 miles in less than two years and I've never been pulled over for no reason. FYI my plate is not tucked.

I started riding again almost 3 years ago and have +/- 50K miles in that time.

Pulled over 5 times, 4 warnings, one ticket for 75 in a 55. Went and actually got my liscense with MSF and used that as DD.

I drive 10+ over EVERYWHERE.

99% of the PD I have ever met are good people. They are just doing a
job.

If you clean drains and all the drains are backing up in a certain area of
a building your boss is going to tell you to pay extra attention to the
drains in that area.

IMHO, YMMV...

He usually is. I have NEVER been pulled over for less than 5 over on any vehicle.

Do I think some cops need to be taught a lesson of some sort about with bikers? Yes. Will they... probably not.
Most of them are good. I have never been pulled over on a bike. I'm always 5-10mph over. Like Squoddy says, if you wave, most wave back. ESPECIALLY motorcycle cops. I haven't had a ticket in 7 years myself on any vehicle. Been pulled over once for speeding in my truck and got a warning.

I;ve been pulled over by cops on my bikes 4 times, once I passed an umarked doing well over 100 on a two lane road. I have never gotten a ticket on my bikes. A little respect and being legit goes along way. You gotta pay to play though, so watch yourselves or it can cost you more then a ticket, and thats what alot of cops are trying to get across. They see bodies quite often....

Never had a ticket myself. Been caught speeding 5 times. Once was 110 in a 55 and still got a warning. Don't get a "teen angst, I saw that Rodney King video" attitude and you most likely won't get a ticket.

Seems like you're throwing some mighty stones for no good reason other than you have some cop "buddies" and he hurt your feelers.
I have one feeling left, and I'll be damed if I let him hurt it! Oh, yeah, and -

So? They're just people - like you and me. They don't do anything that everybody else does. I've never been pulled over for talking on my cell phone while I drive. You know what's funny? Most of the adults on here are willing to admit that when they've been pulled over or ticketed it was because they were doing something wrong; not that they were doing everything right and the cop was just messing with them.

You got good cops and bad cops.
You got good riders and bad riders.
The bad ones ruin it for the rest on both sides.
Well said.

I still believe that if you are getting screwed with non stop then you are giving them reason to screw with you. You reap what you sew. Enjoy....

This is like I ride - 10+ almost everywhere. But I'm legal, plate is visible, full gear all the time. Obviously I'm not viewed as a threat. But to be more honest, I've NEVER had problems with the police - never been arrested, never charges filed against me, never even smoked pot. I'm a bit of a goody-goody.

Its amazing how true this is. I never realized I made a transition till later, but this plays a HUGE part in it. Attitude towards it all is important.

That is the most untrue statement I have ever heard. I have NEVER been pulled over and given a warning. If a cop catches a girl, he always tickets her. I don't know any women who have gotten away with anything just for being a girl.

16+ years ago I used to get pulled over monthly for speeding - ALWAYS ticketed, and ticketed for EVERYTHING.

Why do men think this?

My ex fiance got pulled over ALL THE TIME, I was with her for over 4 years and she never got a single ticket. Of course, I can't prove she didn't do other things to get off of them.

My wife has only gotten one speeding ticket and it was for 90 in a 55. Other than that, she has gotten a warning for every single other time.
