Question Mechanic Help

Ok so I have my eye on a 2002 YAMAHA YZF R6 that looks pretty clean. Problem is it's in channelview I want to have this bike checked out by Patrick and co. before I buy but I don't think seller would be willing to bring the bike up to 1960. Is there anyone mechanically inclined that would be willing to assist me in checking this thing out? or know of a place where I can get a pre buy inspection?

there are a couple of dealers on the north side of I-10 out that way that would probably look at it for you. Might cost you a few bucks but would be worth it.

so I decided I'm gonna go look at a 03 636 first. I was thinking if I like it I could drop the guy a down payment to hold so he knows i'm serious then have the bike taken to Motorcycles Unlimited for a 23 point inspection sound like a reasonable request?

that sounds reasonable, but form a sellers perspective I would not let the buyer take off with it w/o all the money in hand.

I guess it depends on how motivated the seller is, maybe he/she will take it there for you.

I'd try and find something closer to the seller that you trust. just my .02.

this bike is in Katy so anyone know of a trustworthy shop down there? when I got my zx6r I thought It got a 23 point inspection by sunny turns out it was just a visual inspection didn't really trip cause it was a cheap bike but i'm actually puting some money on the line here so I'm expecting a mechanically sound bike. I don't neccessarily have to be the one to take it to Motorcycles Unlimited but at the same time I don't want this guy to run off with my cash
