It only takes one off resident or driver to call the cops

Or getting buzzed by a group of bikes without a single wave. Or simply the noise of people with GP-style exhaust on street bikes. I find that a lot of drivers out there are very courteous and will even go on to the shoulder to let you pass. You just have to give them a little time. Then there's the that block you cause they're already off. But I think if we rode a little more courteously then the cops wouldn't get called to stay out there. I rode Racer's Road Saturday in the middle of the day and had a great time even passing a few cops. Had 2 cars pull to the side to let me pass, another waved me on. I took it easy where there's houses and stoplights, then i let loose.

this is prolly the closest we'll get to the right answer, i rode 149 and honea egypt saturday and saw a bunch of po-po with no problems, but then again i dont hit it that hard in the straights and i dont wear a friggin track suit on the street.

Effective October 1, 2008, HB 137 revises the traffic laws to create a few more penalties. This short bill was particularly focused on unsafe motorcycle activities, but it does include a provision for excessive speed. The new law also provides penalties for the first, second, third or subsequent violations. The Distribution Chart found on the FACC website will be updated to reflect the amounts for the first and second offenses in the Traffic section. The third and subsequent offense is classified as a third degree felony with a $5,000 fine and will appear in the Criminal Traffic section of the chart.

New Violations:
316.2085(2) Motorcycle or moped, wheels losing contact with ground
This is classified as a moving violation.
First Offense: the violator must pay $1,000 plus any other costs assessed for a moving violation. Second Offense: the violator must pay a fine of $2,500, plus any other applicable costs assessed for a moving violation. The person’s driver license must be revoked for a period of one year.
Third Offense: the violator will be charged with a third degree felony, punishable as provided in ss. 775.082, 775.083, and 775.084, a mandatory fine of $5,000, and the driver license must be revoked for a period of ten years.
(new entries for Distribution Chart—see below)

(new entries for Distribution Chart—see below)

316.1926 (2) A person who exceeds the speed limit in excess of 50 mph or more in violation of ss.

This is classified as a moving violation.

Second Offense: the violator must pay a fine of $2,500 plus court costs and the driver license must be revoked for a period of one year.

just think of all the money the state would make just over the license plate law here in texas . no more 50cc in parking lots

Riding on motorcycles or mopeds - The license tag of a motorcycle or moped must be permanently affixed horizontally to the ground and may not be adjusted or capable of being flipped up.

The above violations, F.S. 316.2085(2) or (3) Riding on motorcycles or mopeds, are MOVING violations and to be fined as follows:

1st Offense: $1,141.00 fine.
2nd Offense: $2,641.00 fine AND driver's license revocation for one year.
3rd Offense: $5,000.00 fine, 3rd Degree Felony, and driver's license must be revoked for ten years.
i think this would kuz more riders to run
