Exclamation Guy on moto wearing a rubber.

Sorry for the poor quality image. i had my wide angle on the camera when he passed and my poor car isn't equipped to catch up to a bike. I had to zoom in and crop what i could salvage.

I was on the way back from Galveston today when he passed.

rubber man

not sure how common it is to ride down the freeway with a tire around your waist. it looked more like a dirtbike tire than a racing bike tire. go figure.

A friend of mine rode home with a front tire around him, I thought it was kind of crazy but I guess its a bit more common than I tought.

Necessity is the mother...

Besides, better to ride that a couple of miles to the shop than ride on a worn or tire. Good pic, I can rarely pull my camera or phone out fast enough to catch anything good.

lol @ duct tape.

well i don't feel too bad for the guy now that everyone mentioned it.

i thought he was just making a safety statement.

he was weaving and bobbing in and out of traffic around 90mph. I guess he was in a hurry to try out the new tire. Or maybe mosquito larvae was in the tire and biting him.

:-)

Before I changed my tires, I considered putting the tires around my arms/shoulders and ride up to STX or 2WHEEL but I changed my mind and did it myself.

Seen this plenty at my friends shop. Happened so often that we started calling it "Michelin Man'ing" your tire home.
