Legal Stunt Spot

I'm just trying to test the waters about opening a stunt spot for stunt riders. I'm finding out that there are an extremely large amount of obstructions to overcome in doing this. I'm trying to figure out if there would be enough interest in something like this. Now I know that people are stunting for free right now, but how much does it cost when you get caught (Tickets, insurance premiums)? What do you guys think?

This would basically be a place that stunters would pay to use like a race track there would be an ambulance on stand by and everyone would have to sign a waver just like when racers go to Houston Motorsports 1/4 mile track.

much smaller fee for people simply watching. And yes the insurance is a b&%$h.
Thats why there would have to be fees. This would be a business and expensive to keep going. But I think it would be an amazing thing to have at our disposal. Thanks for the info its still all up in the air until I get more feed back. Thanks again for all opinions.

i looked into the same idea at one time. one of the problems i found was where you could put it. some parts of town you will have to worry about noise ordinance.

i see the point of having a spot where people can watch and chill (like ASI) but it would have to be something that i really wanna pay for to have fun. (like MSR or DRAG RACING....etc)

most of stunters are going to do street stunts and parking lot etc...but having a spot that will be out of trouble and no cops, accident, cars...etc will be better then been killing the streets...

just me saying!

most stunters have a legit spot to ride at.. and if u did get the business or place to open, would u let anybody go ride there? anybody can sign a waiver go out there pin the throttle thinking they know how to stunt and hurt themselves bad or running into some1 else? stunts do go wrong but some ppl dont know wut they are doing at all. how would u keep those guys thinking they know how to stunt, (but all they can do is a non controlled power wheelie) out of the place?

repost

the idea fails because stunters don't pay to stunt. and spectators only pay at organized events then the stunters want a piece of it.

Actually, the police have been fairly good about ASI. I've noticed dickwads leaving trash everywhere, and eventually the property owners will lock it up. All it takes is a piece of new Houston mayor to crack down on motorcycles even more, and this might just be a successful idea.

With that being said, all someone has to do is open a bike shop with a large parking lot next to it, and it would cause the field of deams effect.

its a good idea but won't happen..its why we secure our spots and keep them off the boards, besides the all known asi and cici's ...and ya i wouldn't ever pay to ride at a parking lot.

For one there is not enough stunters in houston that would keep you in bussiness. Secondly WHY THE WOULD WE PAY YOU? We are the ones breaking our bikes and hurting ourselves so you can charge admission to spectator thats cheaper than what a stuntrider would have to pay....

If you want to do something like this talk to the city about a spot underneath I-10 and beltway or underneath an overpass exchange that is already paved and sell the idea as a way of keeping it off the streets. It worked for the French.

Forgive my hostility but it comes across as your trying to find a way of profiting from our hard work....

And the only riders that get tickets are the squids on the streets.
