Trying to help a buddy lower his 06 600rr

Yes, I know that it affects handling but he's set on lowering his bike and I'm going to tell him he should get a shaved seat first.

He said he got a quote for $500 from a shop but I told him he could get some lowering links for probably less than $100 and I could help him install them slide his triple clamp down a tad. Anyone know anything about dropping a 600rr?

It all depends on what he wants to use the bike for. I rolled around in a SLAMMED GSXR for a few months. Absolutly hated it being that it was my only means of transportation.

But if you wants to drag race the bike, by all means have at it.

I lowered my RR when I first got it and didn't like it although, there's nothing to changing the dog bones out. Very simple

I do plan on lowering my bike.. The dragging knee thing doesnt tickle my pickle like nitrous and 1/4 miles do.

The main thing is the front end of the bike, once you lower it SO much, when you hit a large bump, the fender nails the nose. Which sucks sometimes. You have to ride with your shocks SUPER hard to stop this. But there goes your back
