Nah, those are more then welcome, there are lots of trees in those parts.

To the Op, most of the roads south of I-10 I'm not very familiar with. You could always go the long way and do the fayetteville ride then cut down. That would be my route as I know those roads.

I will just do the smart thing and stay where I'm at least tolerated.

I worked there at Kasper's Wireworks for almost 2 years after school.
Nice town ,but watch it going through Moulton ,speeding is not tolerated at all.
Shiner folks are pretty nice for the most part.
