Of course, I DEFINITELY do not want to half this. I have the disposable income to do the repairs.

I don't want to say I've given up yet, but in the case that it's much more feasible for me to just buy another bike, I'd like to buy a bike that ideally has 5-10k miles and can cost me around $5000-$7000.

You can get a good bike but since unless your notes are wrong dont go bigger than a 600 like you had. Trust me and im sure most riders will tell you. A 1k is a whole new beast.... seriously. If your motor is in great shape you might find a used POS that you can swap all your good parts to.

Look around Ebay a bit for a titled frame and forks, and then add that up versus another bike. That will give you a good indication.

Frame, prob upwards of $250 to weld.. just a guess. And it will have to be stripped down naked. Take the tank off, and look at the inside welds in the same area. Odds are it cracked there as well. Also check the motor mounts on the cylinders/head and make sure none are cracked.

If you really have 1-3 months of experience , get rid of the gixxer and get a cbr 600 f4i their chep durable and tough their hondas . Welding frames is ok but gixxer frames are really weak to begin with and if your lookin to get it back on the road like that your just asking for trouble.

To be honest, I really can care less on how fast I was going. When I started to fall off, I couldn't see the speedometer. I think the only thing that was in my mind was "Don't crash, dont' fall off..."

The damage is done, stuff is , YES I KNOW. Now whoever plans to posting to this thread, if you're going to tell me it's totaled and not give me any professional advice, don't even bother at all. This is my effort, and if your post isn't even helpful at all or even positive, just save yourself the trouble.

I'm the one who is about to dish out up to $2,000 to fix it, even buy another bike.

I'm sorry for the rudeness, but come on, I don't need 50 more people telling me they don't believe me or that's its totaled.

Quite frankly, it's just getting annoying. Again, sorry if I offended anybody.

Like I said.... I even have the money to get another bike, if fixing it wasn't economically feasible...

Not to be a smart , but I don't need more smart comments either.

Other than that, I appreciate everyone who gave me helpful feedback in regards of the status of my bike and what to do.

aight then.. here's what you do. you go to office max and find a permanent marker that matches the frame. then you buy it and color in the silver cracked part until it blends in with the rest of frames. slap some hong kong plastics on the and ride on!!!

My last post was from my phone, so I get a lil credit for the typo. OK so heres what I got to say about his bike.

He can get it fixed for under 2k if he has the help. Just by glancing it looks like he will need a new stator cover, Lots of cosmetic fairing work, a few minor addon's for the forks, and most importantly he will need his backbone frame welded.
These fixes may not make it look like it did before the wreck, but I'd say after it's done nobody will take hardly any notice.

dude, definitely did a number to her! I could care less how fast you were going(really guys, does it make a difference?) what's done is done.

Anyways, my suggestion is to part it out if you have the time and get what $$ you can out of it and invest in another bike. It would be too hard to trust IMO after having a crack that big welded and I wouldn't want that in the back of my mind every time I saddled up. If you get pics of the Ninja in Garland and are seriously interested I can go take a look at it sometime next week. I'll be in the Dallas area all week for work, just shoot me a PM. Good luck in whatever you decide to do with it, and definitely keep us posted.
