Actually, bike isn't totaled. Frame and engine is okay, just need to get new fairings, new handle bars, windshield, and gas tank. Upon further inspection, I'll figure it out if it still works or not, but it seems repairable.

Right side wasn't scratched at all either.

Yes, my camera was okay hahaha. I just happened to have it in my backpack. This was on Bissonet between Kirkwood and Boone, heading eastbound.

Not that fast, 15-20 MPH? Then my hand gave it gas to the throttle, it hit the median and flipped. If it landed in the grass, it would've been fine. To this day, I still have no idea how it all happened.

Bike's not done, but engine and frame wasn't scratched. Yes, I've taken MSF. I just happened to be unlucky. And yes, I will ride again.

After reading all the responses, what do I need to look for to make sure bike is totaled? I had my bro-in-law take a look at it, he says we could fix it.

Perhaps. It started off at 15-20. Maybe 25. And then it probably sped up and hit the median.

I agree. I have a few theories, but I haven't narrowed it down.

Check that sub frame it looks pretty bent to me. all that fliping could have done damage to your forks and/or swing arm so check those also I would feel alot safer having a qualified mechanic go over it than just my bro inlaw but thats just me.

Oh yeah, of course, I just had him quick glance it. We're going to have somebody qualified inspect it.

That's pretty scary that approx 25 mph can do that to a bike. whew.

another +1 for gear! you'd a have a lot more to worry about right now than just ur bike if u were in flipflops shorts and a wife beater.

Blondie ZX6R - SOLD :'|

This is why I started on a 250. Even after the ninjette, I bought a cheap-er bike. I just dont see spending so much $ on my skill level.

, Im willing to bet that even 2-3 years from now, if I'll replace blondie, it will be another used "great deal" or "impossible to pass" kinda deal.

Oh, and gj staying alive.

Not hating on you but I think you were getting too comfy on the bike and made a novice mistake and the bike showed you what it is capable of when not respected.

Suggestion: pull all the fairings off and then inspec the bike. It will look allot better after you do that.
Glad you didn't get hurt other than your wallet
