Does any one know a good custom painter?

I just recently bought my first bike. an 04 gsxr 600. i am looking to change the color scheme, and have been shoping fairings on ebay. i would like to have the gas tank(metal) painted a metalic black w/ some minor airbrush art......

the fairings i have are blue/white(see pic) w/ some rash damage but no cracks. My question is. Would it be cheaper and or easier to have all the fairings repainted a diff color, or should i just by the ebay fairing and match up the gas tank w/ the new fairing?

if anyone can suggest an honest paint man or has any ideas, your input will be appreciated.

if you're a new rider, get some miles under your belt then get it painted, chances are high you'll at least drop the bike if not crash it. paint it after that incident.

My painter in Dallas is well worth the trip and he'll take the price of your gas off the cost of it if you get a custom job.

he painted the bike in my signature.

You should wait on paint. At least a few months, you might drop it like racer x says. Besides, mine is already blk with a little metal flake, pick another color! Lol

They say some high percentage of people drop theirs in the first 90 days. I did, 2mph turning from a stop sign. Didn't do much damage but will need new paint. Give a few more months and then go crazy. Now I have an excuse to paint mine custom instead of doing it just because. And on this forum I think it is Houseofpain that does a lot of the work for members here. Always hear good about his work.

I have nearly dropped my bike many times before but the weird angles of Austin fked my footing up and I lost it. I luckily caught most of it with my leg so it didn't directly land on the concrete and break anything other than my mirror and some minor scratching on the fairing.

I was so embarassed lol
