This, with some vacuum hose over the bleeder so you dont get it on the pads/wheel. Works just fine for me. No slop in my lever and the bike can pull stoppies easy.

wanted to change all the brake fluid, bikes got 20k miles. (new galfers were installed too)
i think this unnamed person didn't change out fluid in both calipers and/or didn't do it right. correct me if i'm wrong, but with a linked cal system, the cal where the line terminates is the last one to get bled?
either way, when it was first done, the brakes activated with a slight pull on the lever. a couple days later the lever travel is so far it nearly hits my knuckles (if i wore armored gloves i couldn't ride at all). i ride with 1 finger across the lever, my other fingers on the grip.

U should only use motul brake fluid, but sounds like some air got left in system... And no u don't have to have a vacuum bleeder to bleed the brakes

I don't feel like guessing, why not do everyone else the favor and post who you paid so they don't make the same mistake? He can always post a rebuttal.

It was me, and I don't understand why you decide to post this stuff if I responded to your Pm with this exact words:

"Sure, let me see my schedule, we can probably do it saturday afternoon."

What you wanted was to remove a rounded caliper bolt, I did that, and for your information, I did not ask you for any money, when everything was said and done you jammed 30 buck in my hand, cool, I thought, and even when I had the bleeder with me, and after I finish installing the pads on the right side (you did the left, remember) you checked the brake lever and your words were " yeah! that's more like it!", geared up and left.

You were in such a hurry to leave, but before you left I said to you that if you still had any issues to let me know.

And as for phone calls, all I can tell you, is that I don't have any calls from you since last saturday as of today, and no texts, and I know text work because we texted eachother a few times on saturday.

I'm still game to take a look at your brakes, but it's just not right to come here and make this thread and to make yourself look like a victim.

This is all I'm gonna say, if you still want to do this right, I'm all game, I think you're a cool guy but you just jumped to conclusion and came here looking for sympathy.

Ok, update, I went through my voicemail just now and Craig did call me and left a message at 11.04 this morning, the kicker is there's no actual missed call, just the voicemail, and yes, my phone has been on all day long.

I'm sorry Craig if you think I'm not willing to help you, that's not the case here, I responded to you PM like I said in my previous post, maybe you need to rectify your accusations towards me, after all is of humans to make mistakes and of wise people to accept them.

I'm open for dialogue, but if you are not, there's nothing I can do, you can stop by the house anytime for your 30 bucks.
