to the bike cop on 45...

reeeaally?

I was on 45 south near allen parkway when I notice a bike behind me. I scooted over a little to make room in my lane when I hear a siren bump "whoop whoop". I realize it's the bike, so I put on my blinker and start to move right to pull over and nearly get clipped by a car(my fault). The bike cop gets next to me, looks over and laughs, and then cuts me off to get in the next lane. That me off, and I know I shouldn't have but I dropped a gear and took the off. Never felt so good and wrong at the same time lol

Sometimes I can get them to wave. But it's not the first time - I have to keep waving and be really annoying - then the smile and wave.

I have ridden with cop bikes twice (sharing a lane) going 15+ the speed limit on 45 and 59. They seem pretty gentleman-like to me but I am an old/fat brown man on a beginner bike wearing full gear. Not accusing you or taking sides but are you sure you didn't do anything stupid a few miles back?

Not that I've seen. they barely wear any gear - just that half helmet.

You can barely tell I'm a girl! I wear jeans, Sidi boots, Teknic Violator jacket (or white mesh) and a full face helmet with a dark visor! Only AFTER I'm annoying do they realize I'm a GIRL!

Right that is just funny, I've seen you on the highway since your plates are so hard to recognize and trust me you can tell from miles away

or a very small man! either way, you are both harmless!

The times I have had encounters w/ bike cops, they are cool! Actually, anytime I have been pulled over, with the exception of 1 or 2, the police have been cool!

I've only had one run in with a bike Leo which was on the north belt and 59 doing around 130 and when I slowed down and caught up to me he popped me with lights and a siren... Heart dropped. Pulled over and laughed about how fast I was going and said that if he was any other cop I'd be going to jail. Sent me on my way with a warning.

They do have leather they wear in cold weather, as well as wet-weather gear.

Between the vest and other they've got on, they make the choice not to wear a jacket in warmer weather.

Probably because people give cops all the room in the world. I bet the safest way to motorcycle is having the ability to pull someone over if they you off.
