Live Free, Ride Alive Documentary

I just found this and I found it kinda dark but interesting.

Hope is not a re-post. I did a search before posting but can not find anything related to this.

excellent stuff! i'll be revisiting there to check out other videos from riders. i took away 3 things

1. The quotes at the end were pretty moving . Army dad had the best " Get your head in the right place. If you are angry, mad, or have too much going on, DON'T get on your bike"
2. I don't like when ppl say " i have 8 screw in my knee and whatever.... I miss her and stuff"
3. THat Snow looks REALLY nice right about now during out 98 degree summer days

I didn't start riding until I came down here so never noticed the differences in culture. What I noticed when I went home during the beginning of July really surprised me. I'd say about 95% of riders weren't wearing a helmet, and even more weren't wearing proper riding gear. That's not an embellishment either. A good majority were in shorts, t-shirts and bandannas or hats. I was amazed. I'd say that out of all the riders, only about 20% were sportbikes, maybe less. But I was still shocked. I was the odd man out wearing my mesh jacket, gloves, helmet, knee pads and jeans when I'd go out to the many twisties Pennsylvania has to offer. I was the odd man out. Not the guy in a tshirt and shorts.

I had thought long and hard about somehow getting some funds together to start a campaign up there for rider awareness when it comes to gear but I just don't have the funds...and being down here doesn't help either.

Just be careful out there guys (and gals).
Basically had the same experience over the 4th back in kansas. I took one of my ladies to go ride with my cousin, and he turns out to be one of the biggest squids out there. Like you said, people were giving me wierd looks for being suited up, but kansas is so slow and laid back, but metal and concrete still feel the same everywhere

Good site. I watched the entire video (odd for me) and I signed the wall. I looked at all the pages... It's a good find.

yup, open road or not, there's still that 0.0001 % chance some goes crazy, and u end up off the bike. and it's serious not worth finding out how much damage that will do w/o gear.

had the same effect on me, as seeing Saving Private Ryan the first time, and filing out of line, out to solemn spirits in the lobby. I feel like I just lost someone...

A moving documentary.

This is truly a wake up call. I think every rider always forgets after a long period of time that we need to wake up from dozing off. I'm sure everyone has been there where just because nothing happened for a while that sometimes we forget how dangerous and fragile everything in life is. I ride at my own risk. I don't mind people staring or talking smack. I always tell my girlfriend, as long as you have a bike, you're already cool. No need to show off to anyone. Thanks for the link
