It's called "Life" and happens. I guess when all of you get backed into a corner, you just sit down and cry?

I know someone who did the same thing, she was 19 as well and killed a city worker on accident. She didn't go to jail, and she was found to have cocaine in her system. Every second that passes is another chance to turn your life around, I would like to see this girl do that... apparently you guys wouldn't.

Most of us make better decisions than this.

My question for you is: Why would you try to excuse what obviously was a series of stupid decisions by a demonstrably stupid person?

Why? Because I have no tolerance for stupid behavior?

Not ignorance mind you - for that, I have all the patience in the world.

Stupidity though is unforgivable.

Unfortunately, technology has reached the point where stupid people not only survive to adulthood, but tend to reproduce.

Please quote me where I have excused her behavior Jesus guy, give it a break. All I said is that I feel bad for her because her life is seemingly ruined. Of course I feel bad for the officer and his family as well, but is being off at this girl going to bring him back? No, it's not. At least she, no matter how bad she royally up, has a chance to do something, ANYTHING.... but you're focused on what she messed up on.

Yeah. Except for officer Hundl and friends. It's called "death" and happens. While this man and all of those close to him were robbed of 60-75% of his potential life, it's ok because this girl who caused all of this feels bad about it and maybe she can make her own life better. And hey, happens right?

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from now.

Yeah, and since I said it was "ok" I guess you must be talking to me

You think her family wanted this? You think they raised their daughter so that one day she could drink and drive and end someone's life? I mean, seriously...

Hopefully they can all move on past this sooner rather than later and pick up the pieces without too much trouble.

QuickSaveme you realize you are arguing more on behalf of a confused, backwards, selfish, childish, intoxicated manslaughterer, while a brother of the bikes who served our country in the Navy and as a police officer was brutally killed, all the while on a motorcycle site. Come on dude, get your head out of your , yeah she up, but right now its not about her, and particularly on this site, there will not be much sympathy for her bad choices.

Absolutely not. Which is probably why people are calling her stupid and a up. I really have no idea where you're going with any of this. But I have this odd feeling that if she had your father or someone you'd be singing a different tune. But whatever, man. Rock on.

To each their own. I don't claim to be part of any motorcycle "brotherhood". I feel sympathy for all people, not partial to any because they ride motorcycles. I understand it's a motorcycle forum, but it shouldn't matter when someone's life comes into play.

Please people try and be aware of your surroundings, and watch what is comming up behind you while at a light. Not saying in this instance it could have helped, but maybe had he known that she was barreling down on him, he just might be alive today. I know we shouldnt have to do that, but now days people just dont pay attention. Next time it might just be a texting idiot and run someone over, either way just be ready for something especially sitting and waiting at a light.

I feel for everyone involved

Yeah and if that was your sister, or your daughter so would you. Now how about all of you quit acting like I'm making it this riders' fault.

This is something I know I need to work on. I have a bad habit of being in N and relaxing a bit at lights. Definitely need to be more cognizant of your surroundings, both when moving AND when sitting still.

I'm always in Neutral at red lights. It's kind of a win/lose situation...
