There is no excuse for it. None whatsoever. Take a cab. Call a friend. Stay there. Better yet, don't drink when you're under age.

My daughter will be told the same thing I was - if she's ever too drunk to drive, i don't care HOW late she calls me, I will ALWAYS come and get her.

You can try all you want to appeal to my emotions on this, but right is right and wrong is wrong. In this case, the stupid girl was 100% in the wrong.

And for the record - this kid was not old enough to be drinking. She is 19. Last time I looked, the drinking age is 21. Perhaps it is different in the little piece of the universe she inhabits.
No what I asked was do you hope your daughter to have a violent bull in her cell? I am not arguing right or wrong she 100% messed up, real bad.

According to prosecutors, after the accident, Arnold got out of her SUV and approached a witness who was dialing 911. She then took off and ran across a field.

Nearby officers apprehended her shortly after, and she was brought back to the scene and identified by witnesses.

That is all I was curious about.
Also thanks for the other news story more informative, when I spoke with her I didn't really talk about the wreck, offered to help with her kid while she is gone.

Having lost a few friends to drunk drivers over the years, I have absolutely no sympathy for someone who drinks and drives.

Have to ask Tomahawker...I don't remember if it was you or someone else, but I seem to recall you having an underage friend who already got in trouble once for underage drinking and driving...is this her?

Ok, for some reason I thought I had remembered something from a while back, thought they may have been related stories. Nevermind then.

It's sad that when something like this happens, all the saints come out of the woodwork. It takes something this tragic to get you guys to give a about things like this, that's what sad.

I'm sure all of you drank alcohol underage, your lotto ticket never got pulled obviously. Her's did, and she's gonna pay for it. Spending time on the internet voicing your rage for a 19 year old girl just seems immature, I don't care how upset you are. And it's even funnier to here some say they would feel the same if it was their daughter, I can literally laugh at that comment.

About the lottery thing I can agree, once driving a large truck my drink spilled over I reacted and tried to catch it, looked back at the road and realized there was a guy dead stopped for a left turn one sec longer I would have crushed that car, instead it ended with me embarrassingly getting towed out of a ditch. She did make wrong decisions, just like me and many others have but for her she was not so lucky now she will pay for it.

Don't make the mistake of assuming we are all like you.

While I had a glass of wine at dinner as a teenager on occasion, that was about it. Never really drank at all until I was in my 30's, and after a few years of it, pretty much decided I didn't care for it. Even now, about 2 beers a month is it.

I have NEVER driven drunk, or even slightly impaired.

This was not bad luck. This was a series of truly stupid choices on the part of the drunken killer.

Expressing your sympathies for a stupid who killed a man is just so mature though, isn't it?

Let me know when you've taken the time to raise a child.

Do I love my daughter? Sure - more than my next breath. However, my job is not to insulate her from life, but to teach her and raise her so she does not turn out as stupid and self-absorbed as the stupid in the OP.

Exactly, tomahawk. I just hope he didn't have any idea what was coming, I hope he was sitting at the red light peacefully enjoying being on his motorcycle. As for her, I hope she is able to bring some good out of this situation down the road.
