Police make more money than people realize. Be we also get the other perks. What else can I say? If you don't like the LEOs then nothing's going to change your view, but I am a ex-servicemenber, and the field has always been in my blood. That doesn't mean I can't hang out and ride, get drunk or whatever, it just means that at 3am when someones breaking into your house, I am the jackass that has to investigate the other jackass who's getting ready to jack your

On a side note, I am very against carrying a badge with a vendetta.

It is morbidly hilarious to me how so many people here try to present themselves as someone that doesn't judge people by stereotypes, yet they tear into you without hesitation because of your job. I honestly never had a single problem with a wrecker driver. Is this just a Houston thing?

That's a good piece of writing man, I mean officer

BTW, my brother just graduated police academy, and is looking for a job right now. He never mentioned coming to Houston, but I'm just looking out for him. Are there openings here?

It ain't just that they have a hard-on for sportbikes; cops in those little speedtrap towns around the Woodlands pull over *everybody*. Well, not everybody, but pretty close it seems. Until I get to around 242, I'm doing the speed limit and sittin' up straight.

Regardless of what you might think of wrecker drivers personally, they know the cops and where they work. Who do you think gets called when a traffic stop turns into a tow? When they see certain areas 'worked' more than others, and start seeing the same cops over and over again, when one tells about a spot you listen up.

If I read that correctly, you got pulled over twice in ten minutes by the same cop and all you got were warnings? Why this I wish I could catch that kind of slack.

let's just say it's a well known group.

either way, it's a tough job and you don't necessarily work with the brightest bunch, on either side. some solid guys, and some losers. just like any job.
with some retarded customers. everyones' a lawyer.

I got followed for ten minutes in my car until i made a slight mistake. then he pulled me over and wanted to search my car. i was so annoyed that i told him i dont consent to searches... asked me to get out of the car.. got out and locked door with alarm..

he was getting more annoyed and was asking double questions, trying to be sneaky and all sorts of BS, then I drop the "Am I being detained or am I free to go?" line and he got VERY and just wrote me a ticket for illegal lane change or something like that.

went home, called neighbor who is a lawyer and she went down to the station the next day and took care of it for me. (I mowed her lawn for free when she had a broken leg, she repays me by taking care of my tickets and general legal stuff)

Now, I just when I realize I am being followed by the same car.. I just pull over in a random shopping center and get out and sit on my hood.. that officer can kiss my .

there wouldn,t be cops that just assume bikers will if there weren't stories every other day about someone running. cops are in a position most of the time where they can't assume the person they are pulling over is going to be a stand up person not wanting to cause problems.
