Hopefully he learned a lesson and won't run next time. Thankfully no one got killed this time. These "someone ran from the cops again" threads are getting old. Cut it out people. If you get lit up, pull over and pay the fine.

Most of the time, they let you go. Well that has been my experience, just be nice and have your together and they say have a good day and slow down, I have had better luck on my bike than in my car.

I haven't been pulled over on my bike yet, but I'm still a relatively slow rider. Not that I haven't sped, but I don't often yet. But in a vehicle, I used to haul freight and got pulled over at least 10 times in the last year I did it and got 0 tickets other than one in OK for no permits which is my company's ticket not mine. Cops are normally very cool, but if I know I'm the target I pull over immediately and I am always courteous.

, I see it as natural selection! If you get hit by a car doing nothing wrong, that is different. but, running and then crashing? sorry for your family, that is about it!

I am still wondering what officer this is that is always after the bikes, I know of one that use to work the area, not sure if he is still out there. He now is in the gang task force but he liked to chase bikes. Hey do something stupid and run you expect the cops not to chase.

IDK, I hear about people getting pulled over JUST because they are on a sport bike...I've been riding on GSXR'S for 22 years and have only been pulled over AFTER I did something stupid. I'm sure it does happen, I'm just glad I haven't seen it yet.

It definitely happens. I got 'pulled over' last year while I was pumping gas.

There was a mc cop sitting in a turn lane . When I passed by I was on the far side of a Semi. Not speeding or doing anything wrong but i had a feeling he was going to screw with me. I pulled off & had time to start pumping gas by the time he was able to get turned. He pulled up behind me at the pump & hit his lights. Total f'n BS

Yep as there is a lot of bikes that dont have insurance, or M class and there almost guaranteed a runner or something is wrong ie no insurance ect. Call it profiling or whatever, but most of the time they pull you over just to check that stuff, and say it is for another reason. But most I have come across, where actually pretty cool, cause I showed respect, had insurance and have my M endorsment and almost always let go and say have a nice day. It is amazing how a little respect of the officer will go in your favor. But it is well known that a lot of people dont have there together and hence why sports bikes get pulled over.

Regardless if a cop is pulling just sport bikes over, it's best to just stop, show him ur Insurance and license and be done with it. If he pulled u over for speeding and u weren't, ask to see. It's never a good idea to run, especially bc it puts not only the rider but also other people in danger Do I feel bad for people who go down when running for the cops? Nope! Feel bad for their family? Yes. Regardless, these guys are just out doing their jobs. They risk their lives for us. And just like in any profession, there are bad apples, but we shouldn't take it out on the good ones. My .02

Bashing Towman for his profession, no. Bashing people for generalities, yes.

Ie: 'Dirty Pig's Shakedown'.

We hear of these ' cops' after M/C's... but I never find em. Willowbrook, 45, Woodlands... only once saw a Shendandoah(sp?) go after some, and honestly he had valid reason to.
