HOUSTON - A motorcycle rider is taken to the hospital after he leads officers on a freeway pursuit in southwest Houston.

Houston police tried to stop a group of motorcycle riders on the frontage road of the South Sam Houston Parkway near Beechnut Street, the Southwest Freeway, who were traveling at a high rate of speed at approximately 2:15 a.m. Thursday, but while two of the riders cooperated, one decided to ride away from officers.

The rider quickly traveled away and was able to separate himself from officers, but ended up crashing into a curb after trying to make a u-turn under the South Sam Houston Parkway near U.S. Highway 59, the Southwest Freeway.

After police learned of the crash from a wrecker driver, the rider was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in stable condition.
on the tube i couldn't help notice how the vulture pos wrecker (who also snitched) had the bike strapped down. on the sidestand, with 1 strap going across the seat

Just to see if you would run. Alot of times we don't want to chase you. We know you will get hurt or die. Thats alot of paper work and frankly I don't like seeing scarred up bodies.

I get tailed a decent amount, I do ride alot though and I'm always 100% legal so I just act like there not there. Most of time I'm doing 5-10 over the limit on the highway. It's when u start acting suspicious that u will get pulled over... I've only had one time were a rookie cop pulled me over just to hassle me, he claimed I was speeding when I really was not, He just wanted to bs n see the bike as he asked what all was done to it and all...

There's much more to live for, no point in running no matter what. If your not legit then fix your stuff, a speeding ticket can be taken care of with a attorny for cheap( it's the price u pay to speed)

I am a wrecker driver too. I dont see the problem with telling them about the wreck he would have found out anyway. As far as the vulture part i get tired of hearing that . alot people say tat but breakdown and we are your best friend and they always say help me out man give me a good deal. as soon as it is done we are back to a piece of wrecker driver. Everyne complains about us but we are there to do a job alot of people cant or wont do. i have seen alot of things most of you only talk about . try to do my job and then you might have respect for what we have to do and put with . also contrary to belief not all cops are friends with wrecker drivers there are alot of wrecker haters in the police force .

know as far as the guy running . if he ran and crashed that is his own fault it is not like anyone made him crash on purpose . he did that to himself . sounds like they let him go and were not going to chase him . till they found out he had crashed. as far as it goes who says the other guys wouldn't have told who he was.

I'm sure the rider is glad that he's around to learn a lesson. Many runners aren't.

The last thread that was about runners, had people who I had just SEEN run posting in it about how stupid it is to run.

Let's see if this one is the same way.

No several of you wish bad things happen to them because they deserve them, thats a punishment, cause effect I understand but even when a runner doesn't wreck there are several post regarding the runner and your populous desire for him to die

Wreck, Mame, Death are not punishment, they are consequences.

Hopefully the rider has learned something and will take responsibilty for his actions, owns up to his mistakes, faces the consequences like a man, or "woman whatever" and doesn't them off as "unusual punishment". He's lucky / blessed, depends on how you look at it, the consequence for him weren't death.
