Thank You (Chachos On Westheimer)

My battery died trying to leave the parking lot last night at Chachos, there was a couple in a silver new gen Eclipse that were leaving but stopped to help me out. They gave me a push start and got me up and going. Girl said she rode a R1 and husband a Busa. Just wanted to say thanks again in case you're on here.

PRETTY COOL...but are you incapable of runnin', jumping on the bike, bumpin' it to second gear and then dumping the clutch? Just a tip for next time.

Incapable? Probably not, but I know I'd be nervous as doing it on a nice sport bike. Doing it on the dirties is no problem, but running and jumping on a bike that has over $2,000 in just plastic, no thx.

Maybe, but a push start sounds easier than that.

just in case no one is around to help next time....and don't dump into first on a SS....it ain't so forgiving and if the ground has loose gravel you'll likely lock up the rear.

Its funny that you say that because I've never been able to get a bike push started unless its in first, 3 different bikes.

Would this work for trying to charge the battery? It says it has a 2amp setting for motorcycles.

one would think so....as for dropping in 1st...it works and actually works better on dry smooth pavement, but when on a slick surface, 2nd gear is better. and noobs shouldn't try this....which is why I said 2nd gear in case folks were reading. I too drop it in first and put a ton of weight on the seat.

I had to do this today. Couldn't get it in while it was in 1st. It took me two times runing with the bike when it was in 2nd gear before i got it started.
