That video doesn't bother me. I've seen an 80 year old grandma and a 12 year old girl (both white) pulled out of line and searched at the airport. I thought that was pretty stupid considering that there are virutally no terrorists matching that profile.

Strapping a bomb to a 13 year old and sending him down the street to blow up a crowded market is one thing. It's very highly unlikely that an organized terrorist group is going to spend the time, money, and risk to train an 80 year old grandma or a 12 year old girl and send them to the USA to blow up a plane. Those people might be crazy but they're not stupid. This was simply a way for the government to be 'politically correct' and not hurt anyone's feelings. I say BS.

I've never met a terrorist but from a quick search I found this:
From 'Understanding Terror Networks' by a CIA case officer on 400 terrorist profiles:
http://www.fpri.org/enotes/20041101....rnetworks.html

Statistics from this research:
three quarters of my sample came from the upper or middle class

The vast majority—90 percent—came from caring, intact families. Sixty-three percent had gone to college, as compared with the 5-6 percent that’s usual for the third world.

They are engineers, architects, and civil engineers, mostly scientists.

Bin Laden himself is a civil engineer, Zawahiri is a physician, Mohammed Atta was, of course, an architect; and a few members are military, such as Mohammed Ibrahim Makawi, who is supposedly the head of the military committee.

73 percent were married and the vast majority had children

There's a company that does hazardous waste remediation (I think) called bin Laden that did business at a plastics plant I used to work at. In late 2001, they changed their name to Laden for some reason. The story around the plant was that it was owned by some distant relative of the terrorist who lived in Houston, but I think that was just rumor.
