Unhappy JUST GOT THE PRISON TREATMENT ON 1960

I was on my way to work this morning just came out of the Valero gas station and was waiting first in line at the red light on 1960 & Bammel Westfield when all of a sudden I get rear ended by some in a focus. My biggest fear riding is being hit from behind at a red light and I just experienced it not fun in the least bit, bike was bucked out from under me and laid down on the right side slightly in the intersection, luckily I never met the pavement I was in the lane to the left of the turning lane by the time I turned around to see what happened her car was in the turning lane? not sure how that happened. I was a little dissapointed at the fact that 3 bikers passed me while my bike was still laid down and only one stopped to see if I was ok. Lady was pretty apologetic and claimed she couldn't see cause the sun was in her eyes my pipe is pretty mangled fairings are and bike won't start but other than some small bruising and some soreness that is starting to set in as I type this I am ok. Got her insurance info hopefully the claims process will go smoothly.

Glad your no worse off man..

Only time I've ever been hit was at a red light......... They need to pass that lane splitting law so we can split lanes at lights and go to the front and a little more out of the path of idiots like that.

Wouldn't have done him any good in this case.

Glad you're alright... you get the bike home/to shop, or posting this from the street? :-)

I was wondering how would you try and avoid this? some times I seen bikes constantly looking in their rear view mirror or even glancing back 90% of the time until the light turns green

Good to hear you are okay. On a lighter note, The D family needs to use tanks as transportation!

True, but we aren't always first in line.... I wasn't when I got hit, would've helped me.

I watch my mirrors till I have a car behind me stoped. I have often wondered what I'd do if I saw one coming up that didn't look like they were stoping...

Jumping would be a option but would look silly if they stoped in time...

Geez, you and Ben have some bad luck man. Probably goning to be a total judging by age of the bike and damage. Might wanna check the rear wheel and swingarm and make sure everything is straight since thats where you took the hit. What did you do just stand up?
