speeding behind a cop?

so a constable in a charger was sitting on the shoulder of the beltway as I was on my way home and he cut me off pulling into traffic, no lights or sirens on. Within about 5 miles I watched him slowly drift and cross the center line and jerk back into his lane. I stayed right behind him doing about 85 till traffic cleared. On that stretch before 45 junction he sped up so I stayed behind him. We were doin 130 before I pulled off to 45. I couldn't help felling like I was bein baited haha

Does this mean you are happy that potentially two or more people could be hurt in an accident and one being a cop makes you even more happy?

I have ridden behind car cops and biker cops as they speed - not 130 but speeding nonetheless - and have never gotten "baited" or ticketed. I think of it as being escorted by the police th whee Who knows...maybe we are heading to the same place, like House of Pies

was he towing you at 130?
i dont see any reason why you would need to go 130 behind a cop. thats just stupid, man.
its dumb that the cop was foing that fast, but its even worse that you were following him. he could be setting you up. from my experience cops tend to notice sport bikes a lot quicker than they do cruisers. im not saying they hate us all or whatever, we stand out more. especially when we go 130 behind a constable playing with his charger.
this, btw, is coming from the guy that got pulled over by a jail van after following him at 80mph and passing him at 90.
the deputy let me off with a warning, even though i could tell he didnt want to, and strained to push out the advice 'if the car next to you is a department car.... dont go faster than the car next to you!'

if he had got me i wouldn't have bitched, i would've got what i deserved i won't deny that. but i was coming to 45 and stayed far enough back that when i got on, he was too far past it to get behind me, i was just mad he cut me off to go play on the beltway

Maybe he was going to a call ... Sometimes you don't always want to cut your lights on and get noticed but you do want to get there asap

But no excuse for 130...

priority calls such as burglury in process or people showing their outside, most departments will run silent and no lights(running hot) in the attempt to catch whoever is doing the crime or disturbance so they dont hear or see you coming

but 130mph on the highway is a little excesive
