First bike ever: How do I change tires if I can't ride?

I bought it used, and it's been sitting in storage for a while. The tires have cracks, although the rest of the bike is in excellent condition and runs great. The problem is, I don't have the skills to navigate a motorcycle across town yet.

Are there any good places y'all can recommend near sugarland/missouri city? I'm also ordering tires online, would that cause a problem with some shops? Thanks

Well, hey, we all have to start somewhere. Anyways, it's a tiny Yamaha Virago 250. And I have edumucated myself...

Already read Proficient Motorcycling, gonna take the msf course in a couple weeks, and am wearing full gear.

You could take the wheels off yourself and bring it to a place to have the tires replaced...save yourself some money on labor. Eventually, you will have to learn to take your wheels off...good time to start

Yeah, that would work! I'm not mechanically challenged, and it looks relatively simple(according to repair manual). Can I rent stands anywhere though? They're about $150 each from what I've seen, and they FAR outweighs any money saving benefits.

Check harbor freight or try jack stands, a hoist, or some other work around. What style of motorcycle is it?
