well thanks a lot for the input.
right now im trying out the Q2's and see how long they last and how good they are.
had the 2ct last set and i like them for the streets but when i go out on SMR its just not good enough.

so... as i can see a lot of people like the bt016 more then anything, maybe because they last longer and are really good for all type of riding?? after this Q2's ill be giving them a shot.

i know that if you get a rally good tire that sticks, then that tire is not going to last you as much as other tires that dont stick as good. right??
you have to pay to play they say!!!

so once im done with this set well see what bt016 is all about!

thanks again guys...

ps; anyone coming out Wednesday night for a little route??

Softer compound tires offer more grip, but don't last as long. Harder compound tires offer longer wear but don't have the same traction so it's a tradeoff. The BT-016 has a 3 layer compound on the front and a 5 layer compound on the rear, so you get the best of both worlds. Harder compound in the center for longer wear and soft shoulders for grip in turns.

Ive got michelin power on the front and rear, the front slips, ALOT. The rear doesn't stick to well either. Bridgestone sticks the best imo. Thing about these track tires is they're designed for only a few hundred miles of high speed and after a while they stiffen up and lose grip. Bridgestone does this the least from my experience.

edit, for some odd reason I thought we were talkin race tires. Even with street tires, bridgestone retains sticky for the longest.

Like OP, have used 2CTs on street bike for long time -- like 'em. Trying Q2s on track, but kind of wish they weren't dual compound.

When I got my scooter (the '08 RR) I intentionally picked out one with 'Stones and NOT Dunwobbles.

HOWEVER... The new generation of Dunlop street tires (Q2's) are FAR superior to what they used to be (Qualifiers).

My '09 600RR came with Qualifiers. I thought they were a fine tire.

Ran BT-016 front and BT-023 rear at GSS on Saturday, 7/24 on my '09 CBR1000RR ABS model. Dragged knee and had "bubble gum" on front and rear all the way to the sidewalls. Your results may vary
