The worst part is that they are brand new riders...no experience. One is riding an older Honda Shadow 600 that needs major maintenance and the other is on a brand new Yamaha FZ6. I was behind him yesterday and watched in horror as he pulled out of our neighborhood. T-shirt, shorts, with his 11 year old on the back with the same thing on (shorts and T-shirt). I cringed at the thought of him going down with his daughter riding along....They were at least wearing helmets...

+1 to OP

And holy man. I would go apeshit if I saw him ride out of the neighborhood, and I knew the guy. I really give two about the parent, but the child? Wow.

Etc.

GL to down rider but atleast the guilty driver didn't try to run off and/or not have insurance. And ty to OP for assisting...I hope *when* I go down, someone is around to render aid to me, as I am sure we all hope for
lets hope he had decent insurance, I got hit in my truck feb 09, royaly destroyed my back and neck, the dude had insurance but no where near enough to cover the surgery, can sue him in civil court, but cant get blood out of a turnip, so basically lesson learned is insure yourself heavily just in case.

Was the rider in the far left lane?

This reminds me of another northside accident.Same scenario except the rider had no helmet. He was out for a good 10mins.Thank goodness he came back.

Cagers get careless and don't look for bikers. It's good to hear that this one stopped to give their insurance info.Hope the rider is okay.

yeah, he was in the far left lane. Cager pulled across into his lane instead of turning into the the right lane.
