What happened to the driver?

So, does anyone know what happened to the Camry Driver? I tried to catch the news but i was out riding... And when i was at the scene, they were really involved with the injured officer and not paying too much attention to the driver. Anyone know? Is the officer in good condition? from what I saw he seemed good (for someone that had just been hit) but you never know what's happening internally.

The cop did not rear end the car, fox is reatrded, did you see the the the way the bike was in pieces on the road? The last vehicle in the procession hit another vehicle which then hit the cop.

or you could just read my first hand account of what happened... I dont recall seeing the Camry hit the car infront of him, I saw him swerve to miss them and plowed in to the officer...

if a cop gets away with running a stop sign while on his LAPTOP and hitting an old man on a bike, then a civilian should not be punished for the accident under these circumstances

You're absolutely correct. Laws should not be obeyed or applied as written. Where's my gun? I feel like shooting some mofos

What does the cop in Austin have to do with the cop in Houston? That's like lumping all riders together

what law states that you go to jail for a traffic accident if you are not breaking other laws simultaneously?

Did I say anyone should go to jail? I would consider a ticket to be punishment. You said the driver should not be punished.

I agree there. A ticket if he broke a traffic law. I am sure he didnt mean to hurt the officer so the ticket should be enough. Thats why I saw get off "ALMOST completely" not just completely.
