A concern about Scotts and GPR steering damper.

ive been trying to decide between GPR and Scotts for my 06 R1. and im sure as most of you know, both dampers require drilling two holes into the frame which makes me a little uneasy. wont drilling into the frame weaken it or disrupt the integrity? Any calming words from anyone out there? Thanks.
