Hello all. I am brand new to motorcycles but interested. Just wanted to say hi to everybody here and looking forward to becoming a member here. I will be taking my MSF BRC course first before getting a bike. Hope to see you all around.

that's cool that you are taking it easy at first, though you might get tired of a 250 pretty quick. I assume you don't have any experience on dirt bikes? I started out on a ZR-7S (which has much less of a bike than a 600 supersport but still somewhat fast. My experience from the dirt saved my more than a few times. If you get a 250 you might want to get a used one so you don't invest as much money. That will likely make it easier to upgrade when you are ready. Just my thinking, take it for what it's worth.

Thanks for you advice. My first bike will be used. No sense in getting a brand new bike that will probably end up getting dropped at one point during the learning process.
