Turns 16/17 can still be a bit slipery since the sealer, but no biggie. If you have never riden in the rain, look at it like a great learning opportunity. You will learn more on the wet in one day than you will in months of dry riding. Smooth is the key to staying on track on two wheels, use it and learn how your bike slides and how to control those slides to your advantage. It IS scary at first and some never get used to it, but if you can overcome that fear and go into it slowly you will come away a much better and well rounded rider. Oh.......and rain tires are amazing if you have never tried them, but most street tires are what we consider "intermediate" tires. They work great in the wet, they were designed with the wet in mind.
Even if it does rain, it probably won't rain all day and the track dries very quickly!! No excuses.............let's ride!!

Strongly suggest you come prepared. Read the trackday sticky on what you need to do. Very simple, if you can opperate a roll of tape, you'll be fine. We will look over your handy work at tech, but you are responsible for your own bike. Really not a whole lot to do, lens' taped, unplug or remove fuse for brake and head lights (optional if you can't black it out with tape). Good tires, good brakes front and rear, self closing throttle, full gear = good to go.

Buck, a couple more questions about the stunting part. Is there going to be a place where the stunters can't stunt all day? Also will 50s be allowed or not allowed? I have some friends that are stunters from Corpus that are coming so they wanted to know how it was going to be handled? And how much area they were going to get to stunt on?

Thanks buck.

Bringing more of your circus buddies on 50's Bill? I don't see a problem with them stunting with the others. For now it's evening stunting only after the track is closed. I'll look into roping it off for the day and see what Ins/Mgmt has to say about it.

I understand that, but I have friends coming in from out of town. I'd like to know exact details of the place to do tricks on. If it's only gonna be for a few hours, then my friends will be wasting their time coming up here. Can you give me a specific time that we can start riding?

Everything about this stunting situation seems very vague...
