Hmmm... maybe we should leave a little earlier?

Dave, did you go around the lake, or just to it and back?

I left the Woodlands at 0515 and went to Conroe and from Conroe back roads all the way, down to Splendora, then north to Cleveland, then cold Springs and around the lake, then back roads around to the Indian lands Shell station, met some Patriot Guard riders there some kid getting buried, then back south. I was back in the Woodlands by 1015.... I'm thinking if we do a more direct route up there leaving from the 242 "@ 0500 sharp" truck stop may get us to the north end of the lake by sun rise... idk.

Leaving at 5, then. As long as nobody's running late.

So do we want to do backroads up or just try and get to the lake in time for sunrise? Obviously we can't keep a "spirited" pace on backroads in the dark, but can still be fun?

Let me know... I have a decent route up and then back around via 224 etc.. I know Brandi wants to be back by 10-ish; depends on weather on how much farther I'll go...

I'd like to get up to the lake, but still have fun getting there.
And I don't have to be back by 10. I can play all day long. The weather is only a small factor, because I have a rain coat.

keep me posted on this Tri and Helios, I'd love to meet ya'll out in this neck of the woods and ride to the meet spot. That is, of course, if you don't mind a cruiser tagging along! haha
