Sorry I forgot that important detail lol - $1180 shipped. It's normally $1400 for a custom 1pc but I ordered it in January 2010 and they had a special over the winter. It sounds like a lot but when you factor in that you can have **ANY** option you want applied to your leathers, it's worth it. My leathers are conservative but really, I could have gotten any logo, as many logos as I wanted, and any color leather - even gold and chrome!

I don't own any other leathers so I cannot compare to, say Alpinestars, Dianese (lol as if they'd fit), Spartan, etc...but from what I have seen, the quality of these leathers appears to exceed the standard factory leathers. The quality of the leather is very nice, the stitching is sturdy (I yanked on a lot of things today to get it to fit!) and the design appears to be long lasting. For what it's worth, they are pretty light too...much lighter than the A*'s I was picking up at Cycle Gear...

Now all I need is time and I am ready for a trackday...finally! I won't have any time til maybe August though - work is busy busy busy! But it all may work out...I *really* want a 09 ZX6r, and as it's the end of summer, I am sure I can get a very good deal Then, I need a trailer, transport vehicle (kinda have one already), trailer, fairings, suspension for 260lb rider lol...

...this is going to be expensive haha

You can use a bungy cord around the waste to hold your leathers up when you take the top part off.

Only once did I crash-test the Pilot suit, and at the end of my slide through the International Horseshoe at Daytona Speedway, I am pleased to say that the Pilot suit did exactly what I needed it to do. I walked away without a scratch.

Well the problem is for *street* riding...I can't carry a bungee cord with me. I guess the best solution for now atleast is to just walk in to a restaurant, sit down and then zipper down...and zipper back up when I am done eating ioc

Today, I decided to ride the same route again (less Galveston) since it was nice and sunny outside I was speeding on I45n and Hobby area and got pulled over by a cop...2nd time I have ever been pulled over on a bike. I parked all the way against the shoulder concrete and turned off my bike, kickstand down and waited for the cop. He said I was speeding and I was like yeah I was. He then commented on how many bikers he seen today doing wheelies and such and I told him I am not part of that crowd...I am 33 lol. He asked for my insurance and license and pretty much told me he was going to give me a warning...he was fascinated by my leathers lol. I guess he doesn't normally see people riding in full leathers on the street, especially in this heat. I left my insurance in my riding jacket at home but he said that was fine, asked me if I had any warrants and I said no. He said he would check my driving record real quick since he knew I must be hot standing in the sun in full black leathers. He came back and said I am free to go. Very nice of him to do that

Anyway, I traveled to SW again for The Deelish - today, at Banana Leaf (malaysian) at Beltway 8/Bellaire. When I parked my bike under a tunnel in the building, the security guard came by and asked me if my suit keeps me cool o_O I was kinda and said NO IT DOESNT as sweat drips down my face. He walked away and said, "that was interesting " lol. I walk into the restaurant and there is a wait for 1 as they clean tables so I waited outside. When they called me in, everyone gave me a stare, some glancing at my buttocks. I decided to unzip the front of my leathers when I was seated...worked out MUCH better than unzipping them yesterday before I entered the restaurant. Boy do these Tech Races work great! They were completely soaked but it only took a few minutes for me to fully cool down as my sweat evaporated - again, much better than my Under Armor products. When I was done eating, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and hands, scrambled back into my leathers and walked out without issue.

Today's experience was much differnet than yesterday - I wasn't bogged down by wet leather and they seemed to fit a lil bit better. Getting out of the leathers when I got home was a peice of cake...again, the Tech Race suit is awesome underwear And when I took it all off, I sat down for a few minutes to let the sweat evaporate off so I could cool down before my shower bath

The only thing I still struggle with is standing up straight. Not only does it wedgie my but it also compressed my back and gives me a back ache...I have to be careful with that. I am guessing this is normal?

By the pics I can tell they are quality leather.

Ond Ormand, don't take this the wrong way, but you really need to lose some weight.

Well unfortunately, my hobbies contradict each other - I enjoy eating out, I enjoy lifting weights and I enjoy motorcycling. But that's what makes it all the more challenging. I am not expecting to be fast on the track but I am expecting to be competative towards my weight bracket...I don't think there are too many 260+lb riders out there.

The leather is great quality - nicer than my A* jacket and I thought that was good quality. It's supple, thick and grained. I plan on riding in my leathers for a 3rd day in a row...tomorrow, to gym and then in search of The Deelish

Those are really cool Ormand. Wish I had 1.4K to drop on leathers alone.
I am definitely gonna buy that race tech underwear suit thing though.

You shoulda put arrows on your arm sleeves with the words:
This way to the DEELISH!------>
LOL... that woulda been cool too.

BTW, what's the significance of the pink and blue colored logos?

To me, the leathers are cheap because to buy a shelf leather and have it customized to fit me would be $$$. Sizing is just part of the challenge of being me but I am sure i am not the only one on here who can't fit into shelve leathers.

I was going to put a Hello Kitty on the back cheek or maybe an emoticon on the back --> but that would be a bit too much, even for me.

The blue/pink are the logo colors for my website. I kinda like having pink in there...it's pretty distinctive lol

I'd probably do that at a track but at a restaurant, I don't think too many people want to see me in a skintight underwear lol. I think this suit will end up being my street/track suit and I will get another one dedicated for track. I didn't initially think I would be riding on the street so much in a 1pc suit, but atleast for right now, it is very comfortable - far more than any other jacket/pants I have ever worn, and I am sure much more protective. And as I get faster at putting it on and taking it off, I may be inclined to use it more for street riding. Today's 150mi ride in 95+ degree weather was rough but no more rough than wearing a jacket/jeans.

Lol, good idea on keeping the suit on!

I meant for being at the track. Especially in summer, you'll want to stay as cool as possible. I think that suit could work fine for your track use. No need to buy another, unless you're a baller. Good review

Looks great, Ormand.
Glad it turned out good for you.

Do you know if you can order leather decals, etc. from them without ordering a suit?
