Want to own the Batpod, Batman's motorcycle from The Dark Knight? Well, this one-of-a-kind working 1:1 replica of it could be yours for a mere $100,000 or best offer. Warning: you will definitely kill yourself trying to ride it.

Luckily, they make that harder to do by shipping it with one chain removed so it won't be ridable. It isn't street legal, after all! But if you were to put that chain back on, it'd be running a "high output 650cc 4 stroke, water cooled engine with direct port nitrous injection." Of course, only one stunt driver in the world was able to handle the one used in the film, but I'm sure it wasn't that hard. Right?

I hate (ok love) to crush your dreams but I don't believe this is ever gonna happen. That pics is at best a mock-up and maybe just a CG fantasy.
What kinda engine is it gonna have?
How will the suspension work?
Think it will handle very well?
Who is gonna be able to stand that position for more than 5 mins?
What would you do with it after all your friends (and the people at PP1) have said, "Golly gee, that's a swell bike you got"?

This is just a fishing exercise to see if they can drum up enough interest to actually try to build one.

Wow, I feel so much better now.

Have to agree with you there. Cool concept. Terrible idea if it's true.

should be painfully obvious that its

a. not built for racing
b. not built for track days
c. not built for stunting
d. not built for comfort
e. not built for road trips
f. not built to cruise to yankees tavern
g. not built for the beach
h. not built for a fatty fat mcfatterson passenger, or any passenger for that matter
i. not built to outrun the cops
j. not built to loop

c'mon guys, its a collectors item. only five are being built, and will most likely be for show use only. it can technically be ridden on the street, which makes it all that much cooler, but def not built for every day riding. they could have made it that way, but then it wouldnt have been able to built to spec per the movie.

I don't think it has. Like I said it's likely they are fishing for deposits. Somebody ponies up, THEN they start to build.
No details about suspension or engine (other than it will supposedly be 1000cc).

Not what they are saying;

Unlike the "Batpod" replica, the "Lightcycle" is being built for everyday street use.
