part of starter relay melted

anyone ever heard of that? the fuse was broken in half, i dont know why the fuse didnt pop... looking at the wiring diagram it shows one of the wires goin to the clutch switch, there are two wires on the switch. but they're both black with a white tracer mark, could they be on the wrong prong? (f4i)
