Thumbs up I put 11k miles on a 160-60 17 Michilin Pilot Road 2CT

on my Versys, and bought another PR2CT. Commuting and joy riding only.

The new one feels great, that old one was on the wear indicators in places, next time I will replace it sooner.

Thats good mileage. I'm trying to decide what to replace my PP with when it is done. I have a PP up front and do a lot of commuting. Sounds like the 2ct might be a good option.

THe PP your talking about was that the Pure Power or the Pilot Power?

Cost: Installed, I got the rear for 150 at Sunnys balanced + chain adjusted cleaned and lubed.

the first one I got form "Discount Motorcycle Tire" in Pasadena and it cost $200. I didn't know any better.

Keep in mind there is the Pilot Power 2ct and the Pilot Road 2 (aka Pilot Road 2CT)

the Pilot Road 2 has the 2CT markings on the tire, and is a true dual compound tire but on the Michelin website they don't call it a Pilot Road 2CT, they call it a Pilot Road 2. THis is the one I run, and seems to have the best reviews overall for my needs.

PP = Pilot Power. Its what came on my bike. I like it, but with as many miles as I'm using I'm thinking a dual compound will suit me better. I am even considering touring tires. I still have a chicken strip (approx. 1/2") so I'm not pushing the tires to potential anyways.
