Hello from your Houston Joe Rocket Rep!

Hi gang,

I've been a member of this site for 2 years and haven't posted anything till now, forgive me! My username is reminiscent of my last job, which was the hard parts manager for Honda of Houston--it does NOT mean I'm a ho. Just wanted to clear the air on that!!

So yea, little about me. I ride a VTX1300C with a nice trim package, and I ride it hard. Not, "oh look at me I scraped a peg hard," but more of a "oh look at me I scraped my exhaust again--!" hard. I grew up in the dirt, played around on the sport, and fell in love with the cruise. To each their own, I'll ride with any of ya!

Like my title says, I am the Houston area Sullivan's rep which means I represent Joe Rocket, HJC, and Rapid Transit. I'm not on here to sell anything to anyone (unless you're lookin to offload a sample from my personal inventory!), but I figure it couldn't hurt to go on some rides and get to know the bike community around here. Also, it's my job to know the ins and outs of every helmet and jacket on the market, so if you see me pop my 2 cents in on something in those lines it's because I know what I'm talking about.

I'm not afraid to tell you if I don't know the answer to something.

I always find the right answer.

So there it is, lookin forward to meeting you guys! Any ?' me up!

Greg

Greg's a stand up guy! He helped me get my HJC helmet repaired. He sent it in and he said it was taking a little longer than usual but they sent me a brand new helmet in the end! I need to get with you about opening a Sullivan's account. I just opened up a shop of my own. Didn't like the way things were run in tomball as I'm sure many others can say the same on here.

haha costs money man! I have extra rocketgirl stickers? :p On a serious note, that stuff is hard to come by. I can get it when I put a dealership's name on the order but I'm tracked on how much of that stuff I give out and I try to get it out to the dealers--hope you understand!

Bro, I don't know about Wiki. I'm very curious to know who's making them. Currently there are 5 helmet-exclusive manufacturing companies in the world: Arai, Shoei, HJC, KBC and Bell. As long as it didn't come from KBC you should be fine, DOT standards really are a good test of safety.

The one rule I tried to teach when i was selling lids at a dealership was this: If I can, or plan on, breaking 100mph, I'm wearing a fiberglass or prepreg lid. If you don't or can't, then at least buy something DOT. You'll survive a lot longer out there if you follow that.

haha, cool.

I try to offload my samples to dealerships around town to help them get a little extra profit. Right now I'm sure Patrick and a couple others are waiting to see what I say next because the last thing they want is for me to compete with them on business and the last thing i want is for them to get off at me!! I do, however, always have something left over that dealers either didn't want, or I didn't catch that I had one and they ordered a replacement, or any other reason you could think of. I still have to get my money back on these things as I have to buy all of my samples. All that being said, i can't/won't advertise what I've got. If you have a need let me know and I'll see if i've got something to fill it and you'll find out in pm.
