Not to be a , but if you choose not to wear gear don't expect anyone in this crowd to dirty up a shirt bandaging your road rash. Dress accordingly for the pace and protect your skin bro.

Depends what you want, but you can find a good leather one-piece used for $300-400 here or other moto specific forums.

Don't really have a route that could be linked to, it's all in my head.

Last time I was on a "NOOB & Non-Noob Ride to F-ville" two riders went down. One was taken by ambulance. Here is his post about it:

Everything is good, i'm just waiting for a period to heal, hopefully my leg still function normally like before. Sorry to everyone for the hold up 8/, I tried to push my bike too much in the steep corner especially when the bike is lowered 2 inches.. I couldn't make it out of the corner at the speed i wanted to go..
It's your , not mine. In my opinion, eric636, you should at least have a full face helment, gloves, jacket, and some type of footwear that covers your ankles

He (Bevo) doesn't wear leathers when he (Bevo) rides to work, but he (Bevo) does wear gloves, jacket, boots and knee/shin guards.

LOL, I'm a chronic non-sleeper. Not looking good this weekend. We need to go to the spot again soon.

Knee pads too! They're cheap, like 25 dollars or so at cycle gear, and can save you from some very painful surgery.

I very rarely just ride in jeans. I have some decent textile pants that have all the padding in them. They breathe better than jeans and they were under $200. Past that I wear a thick leather jacket, gloves, boots and full face helmet. I wear leather EVERY time I ride. I would rather sweat for days than bleed for a second.

Im not a gear . If you wanna ride without protection, thats all on you. Ive seen what happens when skin hits the concrete. The concrete always wins. There have been plenty of times I gave serious thought to riding without gear for a number of reasons. So far I have not given in.

I went down on F-ville last year.
Totalled bike, concussion, broken collar bone and over $1k in hospital bills that I'm still paying on.

And I was wearing FULL gear, boots, helmet, jacket, knee pads, gloves.

It would have been much worse if you didn't have gear.
