50cc dirtbike

friend said i could have his if i wanted it, but also the engine is seized, piston rings might be fried, needs new shocks, and thats just a ballpark,

is it worth the money to get it and go to town trying to fix it up? would anyone buy it if i tried selling it? or just use it as a decoration. lol

just taking a guess...with it looking like that but running, you can probably get 600-700. if you sell as is, probably 100-200 max?

Piston and ring kit probably be around 75-100, depending on what the cylinder looks like inside, may need to be machined. Check Valves, easy little project, I would keep it for a little play bike, but you could probably make a few hundread off it after the initial investment

1) Clean carb
2) Check and clean plug
3) Make sure its getting adequate air
4) Use fresh gas
5) With plug connected to plug wire, pull start with plug grounded on metal(frame) and see if there is an arch sparking between prong.
If your getting spark and fuel then it should run, just keep pullin it with choke on, these motors are so basic that if they are not seized they should be able to start!
