Your warranty WILL NOT be void if you do the 600 mile service yourself or at a general bike shop. A dealer might give you a hard time if he wants to, but it will not affect your warranty. I did by the oil and filter at the dealer that ended up doing the remainder of the 600 mile service just so I would have something on paper to back me up if there ever was an issue.

I could have done just about all the checks required, but I wasn't going to be able to check the synch on the throttle bodies, so I let them handle that part this time. I have since learned how to do it.
