Yeah? I've got a stainless body gear pump with magnesium stabilized zirconia gears. It's in a DI water system contaminated with hydroflouric acid at a pH of 4 and dropping slowly. How long do I got?

Oh, and the tricky part is...I can't pay you anything at all for the answer

I say it not my yob. Sounds like a bundle is leaking. Pull samples, locate and isolate the leak. When the equipment is open I will investigate the damage and recommend repairs.

Fortuneatly in this case, I'm pretty confident it will make it to the next opportunity to flush it out. And if I'm wrong, it won't kill anyone. I like those types of decisions...
