09 zx6r chain noise

i have a brand new 09 zx6r,like 3 months old and for some reason i hear this weird noise from the chain so i thought that i will lube it and should be fine,well that worked,but not for long after 2 to 3 weeks the noise is back,any thoughts on what it could be from,thanks.

i lubed it up again last week,and i think this is my 4th time in 3 months!! ,and iam already hearing the noise!

Use a good chain grease, also be sure to clean the chain ahead of time.


Check the chain for needed adjustment and sprockets for abnormal wear.

Whisper to it and tell it to answer back with its inside voice.



WD40 and a rag clean the chain... use a chain lube not just a "lube" of any kind... tighten as needed.

could be a tight spot, have you checked the chain tension in several spots not just in one??
