Police have closed off the Eastex Freeway ramp to the 610 North after a motorcyclist fell off the overpass and landed in the grass below.

The motorcycle could be seen on the exit ramp to 610 North from Highway 59. Police have surrounded the area.

Traffic is expected to remain backed up for drivers heading to the Kingwood area from downtown.

The motorcyclist's condition was not immediately disclosed.

Check back with abc13.com for more details.

Hope he's okay. That's a terrible accident, and I'm always afraid of doing it. I slow down when I'm on the ramps.

I wondered what happened. I rode through the area when the ramp was still closed and traffic was backed up.
