Personaly... I like riding at. or after dusk, there's not a lot of traffic or other noises. It's a comfortable temp, just sit back and cruise.
The scent is my big deal, smell rain, restaurants, near fields, trees, everything in a car its all blocked.

Actually IDK where to begin; when I first started riding on the street, all I cared about or enjoyed was the rush of the speed. It only had 2 speeds, all the way on, and off. Then one day I was out riding and all of a sudden I changed and started to enjoy riding period. Fast. Slow. No matter. From then on I've been able to slow down and take in the sights, sounds, and smells that come with the freedom of riding. I hardly ever drive anymore. My main bike just recently passed my car in mileage and I've had my car 4 years longer than my bike.
How many miles on that bike now, 100k?

Riding a bike is "my time" and like that however short or long it is.

Just over 77K. I've been riding shorter distances and different bikes lately. I still need a tard

I've seen the gas mileage savings a couple of times...well my bike may get better mpg, but my car doesn't burn through tires as quickly (except for my burnouts ), need chains/sprockets, or require expensive gear that wears out surprisingly quickly when worn everyday (not to mention they get sweaty/stinky).

I only put about 15-18k miles a year on my bike. It's mostly for communting, because my family comes first on the weekends. Riding is definitely MY time.

I like riding alone on early mornings, specially in the spring or fall, the smells the air being cool the roads being mostly empty, riding behind the ladies on bikes, great view. I like the alone time no kids no people at me cause the heat or a/c isn't working

i enjoy the closeness to nature while on a bike, as opposed to in a car.
when i was first learning to ride, i had a magical disney-esque moment where i was riding alongside a running dear. the deer was like 7 or 8 feet from me and was keeping pace with me.
i mean i realize how dangerous that was. deer are stupid and it could have turned my direction out of panic, but it was still an unforgettable moment.

I love being in that grey area where your eyes are big, there's no thinking, just reaction. The front wheels high and your leaning rite just letting it eat. Then you slow down like Wow that was fun ! Being on the edge. then coming down the return road going thru the gears normal with a little blip inbetween gears.Music to my ears.
