What I really love about riding

I love it when I'm riding in the hot afternoon and I hit a patch of cool air.

I love how I can increase my speed by 20 mph with the slightest movement.

I love it when pickup trucks want to race me.

Yes, pickup trucks. I live back in the woods, you see. The woman, and the kids, and the dogs, and me. Yes. Ween is a woman (ask him about his throw pillows).

What do you love about riding?

YES! And water! When I cross the creek at my exit the temperature drops ten degrees! I love it - I know coming home no matter how hot it is, it will be cooler when I get home.

I love in the fall riding in and out of a cold front... the air temp with change up and down 10+ degrees in a couple miles...

Or in the summer right after a thunderstorm.

After a brutal stressful day at work or if unforeseen problem arises, I love jumping on the bike and hitting the back roads to clear the mind. As I twist the throttle and shift the gears, I feel the day slide off me like rain droplets in a strong wind.

Personaly... I like riding at. or after dusk, there's not a lot of traffic or other noises. It's a comfortable temp, just sit back and cruise.

I love how you can smell and feel everything as you ride. Experiencing the environment is half the reason I ride, the other half is adrenaline.

I like the escape, when I ride my mind is clear of all of lifes bullshit and my mind is just on the road and staying alive to do it again.

There's nothing better than going to ride to take your mind off things. I intentionally try to get myelf lost in areas i've never ridden before. I love it.

I just like following Ween...unless he's headed offroad.

Actually IDK where to begin; when I first started riding on the street, all I cared about or enjoyed was the rush of the speed. It only had 2 speeds, all the way on, and off. Then one day I was out riding and all of a sudden I changed and started to enjoy riding period. Fast. Slow. No matter. From then on I've been able to slow down and take in the sights, sounds, and smells that come with the freedom of riding. I hardly ever drive anymore. My main bike just recently passed my car in mileage and I've had my car 4 years longer than my bike.

You all have posted very good ones I won't repeat as I like all those features as well. One of my favorite parts is after you have had to sit in the heat and you start to sweat, then you take off and the air passes through the jacket and feels so cool it gives you goose bumps. I also love the gas mileage.
