Got Hit

Well I got hit on Friday coming home from work. I was making a left and I saw the car make the stop. I proceded to make my turn and then the car pulled forward and hit me. I got hit on my left leg and the rear of the the left side of my bike. Lucky thing is I just installed some frame sliders on her last weekend. My left leg was a little bruised up, but ok now. Little damage to the rear fairing, left rear peg got bent up and due to that, I had to remove the rear wheel hugger cause it was rubbing. Also where the peg mounts to the sub-frame, slightly bent. Other than that, ok. Just finished washing her up, when I went down, ended up in the ditch. Luckyly the lady (old at that) stopped and we exchanged info.

Yeah, I know I got lucky, thanks. When I saw her starting to pull forward, I said to myself, "Ouch, this is gona hurt". I know it could of been alot worst. Just glad it came out the way it did and that she did stop. Funny thing is that the tow trucks showed up 1st before the cops and they kind of looked upset when they saw that the bike wasn't a mess, LOL.

just fyi u always want to get a police report, i had a very old lady hit me and write a statement that she was 100% at fault and then turned around and denied it and said she was scared. and i had to get a attorney( i still won but i got alot less directly to me due to attorney fees)

hmm... they might not like that much....

maybe we could meet them half way and just put them in Jail immediately if they do any of these while driving :

text, call, put on make up, dance to bad music, brush their hair, read Cosmo, daydream about being at the mall, or talk to other girls in the back seat.

they MIGHT be able to get from point A to B without running ppl over if they eliminate each and every one of these

police reports also help incase their info is bogus. I have seen that too many times.

I swear, 95% of the time that I see someone driving all crazy, bad lane change, cutting people off, swerving, tailgating, etc. its a woman driver. Yesterday I saw a woman drive off from Valero with the whole pump cord still hanging from her truck. I thought that only happened in the movies.

man, sucks.

I stand firm by this....

Men are CRAZY drivers, we usually go to fast , but we KNOW how to drive.

Women are just BAD drivers. the steering wheel and brakes are like alien objects to them

Police did not want to do the report. I asked him in front of the lady on who was at fault and he said that it was a civil matter. Their was no serious vehicle damage or serious body injury so he wasn't going to make a report. Only gave us a slip of paper for us to swap info. Spoke with both insurance company's and they want me to take bike to a shop for estimate on repairs.
