I would after it being inspected throughly by a trained professional. You never know how bad a bike is until you strip it down to the bare frame. Anyone can rebuild a bike. Doesn't mean its up to par.

On the other hand I bought my bike with a clear texas title and it still had frame damage. It should have been salvaged but it wasnt. So you just have to get it checked out man. Every bike is different.

My GPZ 1100 was totaled after a woman backed in to it. All that was wrong with it was some busted up plastic.

They gave me $4200 for it and it cost me $168 to fix it myself. Then it cost me $268 for a green sheet, salvage title and new tags.

I then moved to Oklahoma, and now have a non-salvage Oklahoma tiltle and new OK tags. Now if I sell it no would ever know that it ever had a salvage title.

The reality of it all, is that with parts and labor it doesn't take much to total a motorcycle. An ins company is setting the rebuild cost at full retail, while a shop or individual can shop around and get used parts and do the labor themselves and save as much as 75% or more of what the ins co totaled it for.

The thing to do is find out exactly what happened to it and what was done to fix it.

I bought a perfect gsxr1k from arizona had been in a slow lay over accident was deemed salvage and when I got it ere to texas they gave me a perfect blue clean title...

But to answer ure question alittle better its all up to you if you dont mind and you really want the bike go for it.. as long as it checks out good...

Bought my 07 zx6r with rebuilt title. Had no issues registering it and all it had wa scratched plastics. Got it for dirt cheap too and now I have engine problems but it's 2k miles later and 4 trackdays. So I blame it on myself or kawasaki since this is an on going problem in these models. I was a lil afraid to get it but I have no regrets.

No fears with rebuilt title, provided you know what to look for in the damage. If you want, you can PM me the details, and I will give you my thoughts as to what specifically to check.

I have a bit of experience with the GSXRs and a little on the 1000s....

Buy on the quality of the bike not the piece of paper that sits in a drawer somewhere.

A rebuilt bike that was repaired properly can be quite a bit nicer than a clean titled bike that's been treated like .

Check insurance, some won't cover salvage/rebuilt title?

nothing is wrong with buying a salvage titled bike as long as the bike is up to par. The title is just a piece of paper. I have bought salvage title bikes before. Some of which I questioned why the insurance would total it. Cracked upper fairing and mids and the bike is totalled according to them.

All bikes are different so it just depends. Some bikes are NEVER the same after they've been wrecked though so proceed with *CAUTION*!
