Tony- just get the paper work anyway.

If she couldn't afford the tax and registration why buy the bike? Is it even insured?

I had sold a car and gone through all this, but the state is pretty easy going about seller's rights. Even if there are problems, you can prove it was sold by your paperwork.

ALWAYS TAKE YOUR LICENSE PLATE OFF THE VEHICLE YOU'RE SELLING!!!

I cannot stress enough how important that is. If you had taken the plate, she would be forced to get it registered or be pulled over for riding dirty.

I can't believe how Chris attacked - I remember your stories. No worries - I still love you.

not really. i sold a car 2 years ago and that didnt put it on her name.

got a ticket from jersey village about a red light camera

i sent a copy of the bill of sell. they say nayy.. not enough proof i sold it

got ahold of the and scared her with legal trouble

she paid the fine and get the car on her name

next time i sell anything, plates are off and fill the form to send to austin

is the only safe way to sell a vehicle now

Now have patience w eachother, kiss and make up.
+1 - THIS is the correct and final answer. Lets the state know the vehicle has been sold to someone else and you are no longer responsible for it.

Well gawd . Folks, like Dave said, let's not air our dirty laundry on the board.
I don't know the story, neither do I care. Please settle your personal matters elsewhere.

All it takes is a quick search through the forums, and the information is there.
If anythings not covered, you can bump it and get a quick response

http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=107725

Good luck.
